Gold Room is the unofficial student reading series for the University of New Orleans Creative Writing Workshop’s Poets, Fiction Writers and Creative Nonfiction Writers. Once a month these talented students come together at a local bar to read work to each other and indulge in some tasty beverages in a relaxed environment. Even if you aren’t a part of the MFA program, anyone who appreciates literature and the craft of writing is welcome to show up and give a listen.
The goal of this blog is to be a central location for all things Gold Room. In the future, we hope to make available the works shared at readings and get the word out about upcoming readings.
